FAQs
Do you accept insurance?
Tricia is in network with Cigna, Sana Benefits, Aetna, United Healthcare/Optum, Optum EAP, and MO HealthNet (including straight Medicaid, Home State Health, and United Healthcare Medicaid), and Ambetter. If we do not accept your insurance, we are able to provide you with a superbill you can submit to your insurance provider to request reimbursement for out of network services. We also aim to keep rates affordable so talk to us if you need additional help affording services.
What ages and diagnoses do you work with?
We work with teens ages 13-17, adults, couples, and families. We provide individual counseling as well as facilitate groups and workshops. We are less concerned with a particular diagnosis, but rather how we can help you and if the therapeutic relationship is a good fit. There is nothing inherently wrong with you and we want to meet you where you are and work on the issues you bring to your counseling.
I see the word “spiritual” or “spiritual practices” throughout your website. What do you mean?
Spirituality involves the recognition that there is a power greater than us at work in our lives. We believe that each of us has within us the pure essence of love, joy, and compassion. We engage clients in a variety of practices such as mindfulness, journaling, and meditation to gain an understanding of what Spiritual means to you. Viewing the challenges you are facing through a spiritual lens, you are opening yourself to life-changing growth. We do not endorse any particular religion and aim to help you better understand what spirituality means to you. Your individual sessions will focus on the spiritual aspect as much or as little as feels comfortable for you.
Where are you located?
Our office is located in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. We offer in person sessions for Missouri clients; Tricia is able to offer telehealth for clients in Texas. Sacred journey groups and workshops are offered via zoom or in person at a location designated in the group or workshop description.
